What's the lemon law where u live , here in Pa if dealer has truck or car for more than 30 days for a repair. It falls under that, it happened to me with my13 platinum. They had to buy it back and replace it. Over 30 days for repair was the key

To OP: please keep the forum informed of your progress. I 100% agree with the customer service piece. Here in Canada, I am a manager for one of the largest retail companies in the Country, and I own a business on the side. Customer service for both, is #1. Everyday great customer service is top priority, and In isolated incidents like yours, we handle them the best way we can, with the goal in mind of having that customer go away happy! Ford has to step up to the plate and attempt to help ease your pain. I had a good experience here last year, with Ford, where I had almost a $1000 bill to replace one of their electronic steering racks, that should not have happened. They didn't cover the whole shot, but al least covered part of it, which helped a lot. I started here on the forum and Ford Canada chimed in, to get the ball rolling. My local dealer would also do anything to service their customers. That's why I promote them! You're right, in many companies today, customer service is lacking and losing focus. Great customer service results in us telling family and friends about the experience, and businesses and companies continue to thrive because of that. Poor service results in us not recommending a company or business to our family and friends, which catches on like wildfire. They tell other friends, they tell more, and so on. Just like the poster here with the Chair. He won't recommend that brand to anyone now, nor will he ever buy another. I wish you all the best, I still think this is the most important part of a company's success. I hope that Ford opens their eyes to your situation and tries their best for a resolve.

If you are on Twitter turn to that avenue of putting your problems out there. I had a problem with a dealer and ford customer care(the 1-800#)... got on Twitter and ranted and got a response and resolution after a few days. We went from them wanting me to split the cost of the repairs that should have been covered by warranty( when I went in I was under 36k and by the time the dealer dragged their feet I was out of warranty) @ford and @fordservice is the Twitter accounts I mentioned in my tweets....

This is the case in my state also. After 30 days start lemon law proceedings if the truck was purchased new.

If not, i would trade it in on the rack. Save the money for the rental and put it towards something new with warranty as yours is about to expire.
