Anyone using the rear Bilstiens with 3" block have any feedback on off road performance? I think it says accommodates an extra inch of lift, wondering if 3" blocks might be to much for them.. I'm on some pretty good back road trails at least a few times a month

Guess that would be a negative

I would not recommend these with a 3 inch block on the rear axel. My ride quality sucks on bumpy roads. It's also very unsettling when hitting bumps on a curve, you can feel the back swing out.

Thanks for the input, guess I'll have to figure out what shocks will be better now

2013 FX4 Ecoboost Supercrew Bilsteins Installed
Okay, after looking over hundreds of forums and options, I just installed both the rear and front (adjust) 5100's in my 2013 FX4. I installed back, 1/2 hour easy install. I had local Sear install fronts with alignment ($228, worth every penny). Must say, I could not be more impressed !. Night and day over stock. I have the height set on the highest (2.25) on the fronts and it sits perfect, with a very slight rake.
I just ordered some 20" inch Fuel, anzo rims D557's with Nitto Trails 295 60 20R. Should fit with very little trimming if any. Wanted as big a tire I could get with this bilsteins. Will post final picks once the tires arrive.

ordered the front and rears from stage 3 last week. got them Friday but only the rears showed up. they're going to get a passed off customer call tomorrow morning. no notification that part of the order shipped. when I called to verify they're in stock, the guy on the phone said "oh yeah, plenty".

What kind of blocks are you guys using to lift the rear. I currently have my 5100's set at 2nd perch so 1.5" front lift and without anything in the bed it has just a slight forward rake. However since I carry my camper shell with a yakima roof rack it now sits with a slight rear rake which I don't particularly like and has even squats down even more when I have my dogs or gear in the back. So I'm thinking about raising the rear 1.5" to 2" but wasn't particularly sure which was the best way to go about this.

Bumping this very old thread I started almost five years ago....
I want to try and adjust the front suspension preload circlip position to maximum lift without removing the struts... Plan is to droop the front suspension, try and get some screw-type spring compressors on the spring to give me slack, then pull and re-install the circlip.
Anybody ever try this?
