Default Bilstein 5100?

Asked this before, but didn't get much response...are any of you guys mounting your rear Bilstein 5100's boot down? I've thought I've seen a few pics that way, but I've searched and can't seem to find them? Any reason why I couldn't...they would looke better that way?

I've decided to set my front 5100's on the 3rd notch for a 1/5" lift, along with a Truxxx 2.5" rear block for a 1" lift to go with my 305/55/20 Nitto Terra Grapplers on factory 2010 20" rims.

All of this will be on a 2010 FX4 SCrew.

Thanks!!!

they go boot up

You aren't going to be able to run 5100s w/ 1.5" lift and then a 2.5" puck. For one you most likely wont get it into the perch, if you do you are talkin 4" of lift your UCA is going to be flat against the coil and fuget about your BJs... of and good luck with an alignment.... If you are going more than 2.5" total get a REAL suspension

I have the 5100 front adjustable shocks with 4 notches, 0"-2.25" of lift, why can't I use the 3rd notch for the 1.5" lift? I"ll replace the 1.5" factory rear block with the Truxxx 2.5" block that will give me a 1" lift in the rear. I'm not following on why this won't work...many already have done this?

AH... 2.5 REAR block I misread. I thought you were stacking a spacer on your front 5100s. typically people use a 3" rear block so that threw me off

No problem Tampa, we all misread things now & then, thought I was missing something.

Thanks Hammer, thought that's what I was seeing & reading, but just couldn't find anything using search.

Should have my tires this week sometime, then I can get going!!!
