you can, but i would definitely take it off the truck or else you could risk damaging the chrome bezel around the emblem or something else. i would start rough, 80 grit to knock down the texture quickly, then 120 grit, 240 grit.. u may be able to lay down the decal over the 240 grit with no texture, but i would go to 320 grit or 400 grit at least. it is recommended to paint over 600 grit but obviously u dont need to go that extreme for a overlay. Many auto paint stores can sell u the sand paper by the disc or foot, so u dont have to buy packages of sandpaper u wont ever use. good luck

Question: What color are your decals? The first pic looks like tan/gold, but the second pic looks very.....stealthy haha. Thought maybe it was my phone, but looked at it on the computer too. Are they like a reflective material or something? I'm intrigued by them haha. Looks great!

Those are actually matte black. They are black with literally no shine whatsoever. Very unique and shows up extremely well on black paint.

I think i had the flash on and the sun was shining directly on it in the first pic, so it lit it up pretty good. I was very close to it. It is exactly what I wanted. I have had many compliments on the decals and some people now want to have their own made.

Oh ok. That makes sense. The second pic you can tell they are matte black and looks very bad @$$. Good choice and good work Moody!

I still get compliments on mine and questions about them. For something so seemingly small, it really sets our trucks apart! Still one of my favorite mods
