Default BFG KO2 vs Toyo OC AT2

I am looking into replacing my current tires and with my feedback from those of you who have used these two tires. I have search the threads and found variable responses regarding the performance on wet surfaces for the Toyo open country AT2 that have influenced me to favor the BFG KO2.
I use my truck for towing mostly but occasionally for short road trips. This is going on a 2010 FX4 5.4 with 3.73 gear and them looking at either 275/60r20 or 285/55r20.

I appreciate your feedback.

I've researched them both extensively and it's a toss up. I've gone to 4 different tire installers and asked their opinions and they all say the same thing as well. They both have similar ratings and similar reviews. Some in the early versions of the AT2's had issues in the wet, but since the redesign, those issues aren't as prevalent.

I'm going with the size of 305/55/20 and they aren't even in stock at the BFG factory. No place around here has the KO2's in that size. Not sure if it is just an odd size or what but can't get them anywhere right now.

Toyo's are available at my local 4 Wheel Parts and they are getting them to me for about $40/tire less than the KO2's. In stock and cheaper with similar ratings and a 50k warranty. That's the route I'm going.

Wow. I just read my post and it reads poorly (voice text...). Sorry about that, but hopefully the gist of my post is apparent. I'm looking for feedback on the two tires listed.

I realize there's a lot of room for subjective material here. Rather than focusing on appearance of the tire I'm more interested in performance comments for these two tires given my intended use. I've read several reviews but I find conflicting information that is mostly dated early 2015. Many comments are like this: "the tires look awesome, they are slick on wet surfaces, but they are everything I wanted in looks." Or "they look awesome but I've had two blowouts, still giving them a 5 stars." Makes it hard to qualify those reviews.

Thanks again.

.
I had issues in the wet with the Toyo AT II's. When did they redesign the tread to deal with this issue? curious! It got really bad!

Wouldn't overlook the Hankook Dynapro ATM's either.

I bought the AT2s when they first came out. They were awesome tires... amazing quiet for the tread pattern... They now have over 50k miles on them... The last 10 have been an adventure on wet roads. I pull a bass boat a lot and sometimes it came be scary.

They still have a lot of tread left so I could run them for a while longer but the wet traction has me spooked.

Also... I put a set of KO2s on my daughters FJ Cruiser... they have been great so far. Quiet and grip great... but they only have about 10k miles on them so they is to be expected.

I am running 275/65/20s now and plan to drop down to 60s with the next tire. My platinum gearing doesn't like the 65s when towing... It does ok but no where near as good as it did with the 55s... so back to 60s for me.

I cant decide if I want to go back to the AT2s or the KO2s this time. I didn't know they did a redesign on the AT2s... When did that happen?

Went with BFG KO2 285/55r20 and have been very pleased with comfort, rude and performance in rain. Will definitely help for pulling my travel trailer.

I'm leaning towards the toyos myself. The local 4 wheel parts has them decently priced. Wanting 315/70/17 or something just a little smaller like the 285/75/17 they offer

I've had both on F150s. The Toyos did well, but the KO2s really do well in the wet, snow, and even pretty damn good on some ice. Great ratings from Canadian Tire as well. I'd go KO2s everyday and twice on sunday.
