Best *value* tonneu cover, bedliner, & step rails
I'm looking for three things to buy very soon for my new F150: - A folding tonneau covers, like the Lund or Extang ones. Trying to keep it inexpensive, but I like the folding styles that lock underneath the inside of the bed rail.
- I'm also looking for a decent bedliner or mat that would be relatively inexpensive, protect the bed (mainly the floor but sides too if not cost-prohibitive), and not present a moisture/rust problem.
- Finally, looking for the same thing in side/step rails. Don't need to go fancy...just something dependable that won't look like crap after a year.
Any experiences or advice from anyone is welcome. Thanks!

For side steps, I like these. Westin has lifetime warranty on their chrome and 5 year on the black powder coat. Although I'm sure you could find cheaper if you want. I paid just a little over $200.

I guess the powder coating takes a beating and winds up pitting and then rusting as a result. So when my time comes, I'll be buying polished stainless steel. I'm just waiting for some wheel to wheel bars to become available first.

I'm looking for a good deal on a bedliner as well. Don't want to pay for the expensive spray in.

Rumor is baseless. Directly from Westin Automotive's website. I highly doubt they'd have 245 people in a manufactoring facility if these were made elsewhere.
• Corporate Facility Located in Irwindale, California, Westin's corporate facility houses executive staff, our sales & marketing department, and accounting affairs.
• Manufacturing Facility Located in St. James, Minesota, is staffed by more than 245 people. Running 2 shifts in rain or snow.

As with any metal, it does require upkeep. That's one reason the chromes are way more expensive than the black powder coat. The instructions that came with mine talked about waxing and polishing just like you do your truck and touching up with automotive paint for the nicks and dings. I despise polishing chrome and stainless steel, it's why I went with black. But to each their own.

ford has a bed mat that looks pretty good and fairly inexpensive. Lower the truck to cancel the need for side steps! but on folding covers you get what you pay for. Look at the tonneau thread and check out the old model backflip pics on page 2-3. Can't remember. I'm of the school of if it has moving parts it will break. Went through many a slider phones to learn that. If you want inexpensive look at the roll up vinyl ones. Or the snap on

I ordered an Advantage (soft tri-fold) Torza-Top from 4wheelonline for 289.95 shipped, that was the best price I found on that style cover.
I spanned the cyber globe looking for old style ladder racks that just drop in to the stake pockets and found something for $400 which was too much for the occasional use I will give them. I finally settled on some clamp on racks from carparts.com. $45 each... with free shipping.

I have never had a cover for a truck. All the ones I have priced are $1000 +. Please post pictures of your new cover when it comes in!
