A Newer Brewer
It's a product called: PowerDecal at http://www.powerdecal.com/
I actually saw them in a early shark tank episode under a different name and then came across them in Walmart last year on sale for 10 bucks.
I dissected one and it's basically 2 LED's powering a panel with a transparent film overlay that comes off. Powered by 2 AA batteries, that activate when 2 sensors are true (truck in motion, lack of light)...and then turn off after 2 minutes of no motion.
The custom overlay I created was pretty simple. I basically picked up some printable overhead transparency film from Office Depot, sized my image correctly, printed 2 times on the same film sheet to give the black more depth and used the original overlay as a cutting template. I then popped it in place and done
credit the developers, it's a pretty cool technology

New additions for my situation
I don't use my truck for my job, but I use it for a lot of work and recreation (live in town, spend most weekends on property less than 100 miles away with no electricity or water....except pond water). I haul so many different things depending on the weekend, I haven't "bolted" anything down and try and keep things in the back portable or movable. The new mod over $50 is my tonneau from Craigslist, $160, but that isn't what this thread is about.
I am sure you can see the horse stall mat in the back, huge help as nothing slides around. Yes, these pics are after returning from the "farm" so the truck is dirty. Newest addition is the rolling tool box I picked up from Sears for $49. It has been perfect for what I was attempting to store in my back seat. It has a handle that raises, wheels on the back, and a lift out bin as well. The blue roll top bag I picked up on sale at Bass Pro for $34, waterproof, stores packing blankets as well as anything else someone would want to CONCEAL and keep dry. 9 inches of snow last week, and the bed stayed completely dry even during melt off. I received some LED lights for Christmas, so free, and going to mount those to the side rails of tonneau for those times I forget my flashlight. They pivot, run on batteries, and prefer not to mount directly to the truck.
Future projects are a gun rack for hunting season now that I am sure it's dry back there most of the time. Also considering a homemade rack attached to under side of tonneau to hold fishing rods also.
