Yup, I like that too, but won't keep the wife from fussing about the groceries sliding all over the place

i just cut it off straight across, filed/sanded edges, painted them. then used a 1 1/4" x3/8" aluminum scrap i had. drilled holes for the plate and the bracket. screwed it in. actually worked out much easier than i thought. very inconspicuous too. you cannot see any of the mounting bracket.

How do you like it?! I've been considering this for the longest time.. One of the downsides to my in dash ipad build is that the screen glare makes it even harder to see when in reverse.. i need more light, and i would love for this to be the answer
