4. Remove spare heat shield wipe with acetone>paint>set aside, wipe down rear axle and frame and other wiggly bits, Paint your favorite color.VHT chasse paint @$6 a piece X2=$12.00.
5. let dry, take pictures while it is drying. = free
6. Perform OCD like brake line tie up, so each one is perfect and looped at the same angle and tied to each other, and clean.
7. Drive to work making coworkers jealous =priceless.

The real cost here is time(6 hours for todays spot clean) the undercarriage is a pain. If your willing to put in the work, even just once it will extend the life of the components, and make everything a lot easier to clean in the future.

Its just a place holder until I get a new cover. Keeping everything free of rust is the main goal.
I hope you mean paint 2 tone because I see a lot of painted axles. Especially from other people who take care of there truck. The rear axle rusts fast here in the winter.

I did mine on my ranger and want to do it on this truck cause I don't see a need to but a different cover when the one I have works perfectly fine

I've heard those slim lined ones tend to get stuck with auto up feature as well as not really keep much rain out.

They do look the best visually of any window deflectors but what's your thoughts on functionality?

My favorite low cost mod, thus far, is the set of $25 LED backup bulbs I recently installed. Not perfect light dispersion, but a HUGE improvement over stock.
