I guess I was just luck, but these little things are bright so I am sure I will use them somewhere else, too. I put them in a little sheet metal (~16ga) bracket I fabbed up - 1.5" wide and 5" long Then, I bolted it into the middle bumper/hitch bolt on each side, dropping it down on each side of the hitch. See the little yellow dot? I wired into the center pin (reverse) of the seven pin connector and grounded on a random bolt nearby. The next picture is taken with me squatting down, you really can't see them unless you are pretty low. This one taken standing up: And in the display - LOTS more light in the center!:
Very nice!! Is it a noticeable difference when looking in your side view mirrors at night or does it mostly help the back up camera?

That's pretty trick a day a lot cheaper than the rigid duallies. Lol and they come in red also so you can use Em as rock lights if ya wanted

I had the same setup in my Jeep...wondered if I could do this in the F150. Now, I have to try it!

Mostly just the camera. It does add a little to the sides, just not much.

Thanks. I'm going to mount them under the bumper on the far right and left. Going to make my own brackets like you did. This way they may shine a bit towards the sides for added light. And idea what gauge wire that is?

Just thinking off the top of my head, you mount them on each corner pointing toward center or more where the cross but creating light in center and off the sides. Think cross-eyed...

Just a thought

The wire coming out of the LEDs is very small. It is kind if hard to work with that fine of a wire. The jacket is probably 5/32 on the OD, but the positive/negative lead in the jacket is probably 20 gauge each or smaller. My only complaint about them, really. I ended up putting both leads from the LEDs together, used a butt connector to a piece of 16 gauge to make it easier to work with.

Couldn't stand it any longer, so I went over to Tractor Supply, and found the identical 3/4" LEDs that are on my fake Raptor lights, only red. Right around $4.50 each, plus I bought some white #16 wire to run grounds, I had the #16 black.
Most nerve racking was drilling into the lip under the tailgate. Then soldered and dipped my connections with liquid electrical tape.
If anyone decides to do this, you'll find the LED is sorta/kinda hard to slip into the grommet, so, an olde truckdrivers trick. Insert the grommet first, then take some grease, I had a tube of dielectric handy, or even vaseline, hand lotion, etc. Anything to add a little slippety slip, and smear it on the inside of the grommet, your light will slip right in.
I spliced into my license plate lights.

I mostly need more light on the extreme right and let side. Almost inline with the tail lights. I have tinted windows and one drawback is backing up at night. I know I can just roll my window down, but I like mod-ing my truck.
