How did you get the color of your truck? They have that at auto stores? I paint cars for a living, so I'm just curious.

What about plastidipping? Is it more effective? I am just wondering longterm if I ever wanted to change back or when I trade in my truck for another one.

I'm not sure about plastidipping. I haven't seen anything on that. If you want to take it off, you can use a rag with some gas and rub it off.

X2 on the gotts mod !! it cost me less than $10 if I remember correctly.

Better than any CAI on the market I believe, most are glorified HOT AIR INTAKES

Not sure if it can relate to anything other than a 97-03 4.6 / 5.4 but its basically enlarging the air inlet on the intake with some PVC and a coupler. Keeps the stock air box and filter location just removes the silencer and replaces that with a larger PVC pipe. Do that and add a K&N filter and your much better off than stock or most if not all CAI kits on the market

Got the paint from O'rielly's auto parts. I knew my paint color from the window sticker, but it's also in the door jam. I bought Dupli-color Oxford white, and went to work.

You don't even need the PVC pipe, just take the regular snorkel out and go!! I did it last year and it was awesome...I added an aFe CAI a few months ago and a tune and it's even better!!

The PVC pipe + coupler allows your intake to pull colder air from the fender well. It's totally worth the tiny cost

Depends on what year you drive. My 09 5.4 pulls air about 5 degrees +/- the ambient air temp with the stock intake
