I will say that yes there may be cheaper LEDs on the market but when you need service that's where the difference comes in!

I had an issue with one if mine and they are warranting it no questions asked! And I'm pretty sure it was end user fault as I had my bumper replaced and when they put them back in they zip tied the plug wrong and water got in the seam and there was corrosion on contacts that seemed to allow a humming and the light was dimmer than other.

There are different levels of use and you pay for the, you want a $100 LED bar just for looks and the occasional extra light then go for it, if you're going to abuse them and use them constantly then pop for the good stuff.

I wasn't even sure I wanted them for the rear so I'm only $40 in and now I know when they go that I'll upgrade.

Also, anybody can **** in a box and stamp a guarantee on it but it's still **** in a box!

Ratings published by who flung poo sights mean nothing as they are most likely just putting what the higher end stuff puts in theirs like the no name Head units.

I know what you mean but I use the rubberised undercoat so after a day or two in the hot sun it hardens up

This post is quite a lot of assumptions of a product that you don't even know what it is if this was to me.

People thinking that Rigid, Vision X, Lightforce is the only way to get a quality LED lightbar are really kidding themselves. Thinking like that is just going to give these manufactures a reason to never lower their price... Half of the price of a Rigid product goes to advertising lol. That doesn't make the product any nicer. This is coming from someone who owns multiple Rigid LEDs on my truck and Polaris Rzr.

I bought a lightbar (Hanning) that is every bit as well built and strong as a Rigid, produces 3,000 more lumens than the equivalent rigid, was almost $200 less and came with a remote control instead of a switch. Best part? I know the guy that runs the company personally. Now that's lifetime support!

I've used several no name brands of lights before and have used several name brand lights, I know what they did and didn't do!

As far as ratings, like I said, anyone can put what they want on a box but it doesn't mean it's accurate! What equipment do you use to measure the lumens? The IP rating? Vibration and water intrusion testing?

If no name is just as good then why are you driving a Ford and not a Mahindra?

Like I said in my other posts, there are uses for each, I will own my truck for a very long time and will put the best parts I can in it for longevity purposes and also to have great customer service in the vent that something happens.

The other cheaper knock offs have their place also, people who don't want to drop the coin but want to look cool. Look at the failure rates on the internet. There was just a guy recently that had both his mounts just snap on his bar after 6 months. There are stories of leaking and water intrusion leading to shorted out boards.

It's cool, both have their place in the market but I'm going to put the best in the areas where it's needed, hence why I have rigids with Bilinvic retros in the front and who flung poos for the reverse lights. I want quality to see and make sure they last and in the rear they just need to come on with reverse.

It's always funny to see how people's minds work, drop $30,000 for top of he line truck then adorn it with made in China crap! Lol

Thinking about plasti-dipping the front tow hooks. Has anyone done this?

Just wondering if someone could help me out. I want a mod to help me flip down the back part of the rear seat. I started reading but lost track of where I was. Any and all help is greatly appreciated. Thanks

I have the factory pull straps that come up behind the headrests. I cant even get them to budge. Do you just pull straight up? Feels like I'm trying to pull the driveline through the floor....

LOL, see this is hilarious as you have no idea of what lights I'm even referencing and you're going to make assumptions. There are tons of cheap, horribly made LEDs out there. So that now means they are all doomed to that fate unless they carry a high price tag? That type of logic doesn't make much sense man. All I was saying was there are lights cheaper than Rigid, Vision X, etc that are comparable products.. If these lights hold up to offroad racing on my Rzr, being submerged in mud and water, beat on, etc. I'll be plenty confident putting the lights that I never even referenced in this thread on my truck that doesn't ever see anything as harsh as my Rzr does lol. Whatever lights rustle your jimmies is fine by me.

PS: Did you really ask why I drive a Ford?

If you plan on using them it's going to tear it up.

If they are the straps I'm thinking of, they are for child seats, not to let your seat back down.
