I drilled holes in the metal and bend the mounting plate that came with the kit (right side of the drawing). This dropped the motor to the same level as the lock arm. Mount that where the holes are drilled and feed the bar through the motor and wire it up. This worked well for me.

Thanks for the diagram. This should help me get this done this weekend.

Thanks a lot for the info and link.

I don't mind paying for quality and convenience plus helping an american company.

Nice, I have that too and love it, but why were you worried in the first place? I've been through a million washes with long antenna and never had an issue!

I used to work at a carwash when i was 16-18 and seen some pretty gnarly stuff happen w/ those... granted, it was never on a new vehicle, but, you can never be too safe,

Just some info about the in channel vent visors. Several people had put them on only to have the widow motors burn up and the dealer state the visor was the reason and not covered under warranty. Why I when with the stick on ones even though I don't like them as well

I can understand that. Sounds like a weak answer on the dealers side. With the auto down safety feature, it not like someone can force the motor to put out more power and push through it. But they are in the business of making money so if they can find a reason not to, they will.

Other than issues with closing the window, I chose the stick on ones to prevent the scratches on the glass.

My USB2 mod I did to my truck isn't working. It's trying to index my IPod and not playing any music. Anybody knows a solution?

Should take the visors off before taking to dealer.

Actually that's not true, you can bypass the pinch feature immediately after the window bounces back, within 2 seconds you return the window switch to neutral then press the window up switch and it will close without bouncing back. Granted you need to do this each time the window closes but I could see the window motor burning

Switch to a flash drive. Ipods suck ***** because they have a battery and its own os you have to wait for to boot up and it dies and causes problems, if you unplug it and plug it back in it might work but that kinds defeats the whole purpose of the usb2 mod. flash drives work flawlessly.
