I've owned a variety of cars - my first car was a 77 Y82 Trans Am I bought myself after working a few summers. Got my mod itch started that way: intake, rebuilt the QJet, headers ... until it caught fire. 85 Prelude, 91 Integra, 2004 Colorado. Now the 13 F150; my first new car and the first in 15 years worth modding. Point being almost every time I look at her I think "wouldn't that be cool?" It'll probably be a while before serious mods so the under $50 thread is a godsend.

"Mod Mail" came today, so to stay on topic here's what's going on/in today:

Replacement LED bulbs for the interior $22, 5 meters of strip LED $19 (paid more from Amazon to get Prime shipping), PWM dimmer $5, fancy red switch $7, door lock actuator for the tailgate $7. 2 100' rolls of 22ga wire (red/black) $20.

"Help" from my assistant: FREE.

Will add results when they're in.

Does anyone see an issue with stuffing some of the LED strip in clear tubing, sealing it up with silicone and using it as a "third" brake light under the tailgate? If I wire to the existing brake electrics will the additional load cause any issues? I'm guessing .5 - .75 amp draw according to the single spec sheet I used. Thanks in advance!

Added a handle to my 2x10 bed divider last night. Still well below the $50 mark!

Sorry for what may be a dumb question - or answered earlier (but I don't want to read 225+ pages to find out!) - what is the exact length of a 2x10 to fit across the bed for a Line-X job? I'm often at big box stores and they always have those cut-offs in the bin for dirt cheap and I might pick up one. TIA!

Should be between 65" and 66" depending on how thick your liner is.

Mine's 63" and a little change but I have the drop in liner. Your best bet is to measure so you have the correct length for your specific application.

Best bet is to take a tape measure & measure it. Like TBF said there can be a variance in bed liner thickness. Also a little long can always be cut off or sanded off.

Just a hair short of 66" should do you fine.
