Any chance that bar can be security locked in position. I've been looking for a tension bar that can be locked so when I store surfboard in bed it makes harder for someone to pull it out. So a bar like this over it would be perfect if it can be locked with a padlock or something in place.

I actually have a heavy duty version of those cargo bars;

Good idea on locking the bar. I bet a bicycle cable lock of some kind could be wrapped around the handle or a hole drilled and a cable or padlock passed through?

I welded a 3/4 lock washer on the bolt top and ran a cable through it to prevent a passer by from simply stealing it.

Made this for free with some stuff I had kicking around my garage.. Took the honeycomb out of a three bar grill I had Laying around, painted it black, then clear coated it.used zip ties to attach it securely to my light bar... Looks alright.

Where did you tap in for power? Did you have to take apart the center console? Looks good!

That center console piece, the one with the cup holders and gear shifter, pops out pretty easily. As you can see in the background of the pictures I already installed interior ambient lighting, so I just tapped into that power which is hidden under/behind the center console. I have that wired into one of the fuses to turn on with the key. I can post more pictures if anyone wants.

i just bought some ambient lighting but am unsure of what i want to tap into. i'd prefer it to be when lights are on. what did you do?

It is just tapped into a fuse in the fuse box using an add-a-fuse. They lights turn on and stay on when I turn the car on. I'm not sure about if you just want them to be on with the normal lights, but I would assume there is a fuse you can tap into for that. Or maybe a wire somewhere.
