Love those LED's. Another cheap mod I did this past weekend was install lights under the dash and under the front seats. Total cost $15.00.,Name: 029.jpg

I drove 60 kms (roughly 40 miles) on the freeway and my mileage stayed the same. I also have a 1 inch leveling kit. When I pulled into my driveway it showed just under 21 mpg which is what I normallly get on that drive.

Hey Rev, how did you swing this? I actually don't care about retaining the function of the factory satellite but I would like to make use of the factory antenna for my aftermarket radio. I did this in my last car, but the harness in the F150 isn't long enough (from what I can tell anyway). How did you get it hooked to your aftermarket unit and where have you mounted it?

X2!!!!! I have the skyfi3 and love how you can record songs and replay up to an hour's worth of programming you missed while you were working or whatever!

Yup, this is exactly my deal too. I have a Stileto 2 that is set to record Ch. 41 from 3pm-7pm EST every Mon-Fri. Can't do that with the factory radio and that is just not acceptable. I fabbed up a custom metal mount for the Stileto but the damn thing just broke, now I'm looking for a new solution to moun the radio.

I did a write up in the last post of this thread:
https://www.f150forum.com/f38/can-po...135792/index2/

My unit is small, so I just set it on the ledge in front of the clock/compass/thermometer. I was using the stick on mount, but it couldn't take the heat this summer...

What about making a box with a hinged motor cycle seat, maybe a back pad as well on a sissy bar (great for the HD). You'd have the seat that could flip up and give you access to the storage?

Hmmmm....well I see your post following one I made in another thread.....Seems very informative, I just wish it made sense to me, haha. What sort of adapter do I need to extend the factory antenna to the back of my aftermarket dock...? SMB to RF....? Whatever that means....?
