Default Best Fog Light Options

I've done some searching around but I'm not sure what to buy. I am looking for a halogen bulb around 3000k and want the best output possible. I'm after function, not looks. I also have factory oem hid with 5000k bulbs if that helps matters. Thanks for any help. Please share what you have for others, even if it's not what I'm after. Thanks

The retrofit source should be coming out with a projected led fog light in the next month or so. They will be offering the amber one. I know you said halogen but this would function better.

Not halogen but I have 3000K HIDs in my fogs and 3000K HID driving lights in the bumper opening.

Love the look and output!

About to leave work, I'll get a output picture with just them on in a few.

Thanks for the pic Wayne. That looks wicked, I'm just afraid with the hid I'll get flashed constantly. I wanted to be able to have these on most of the time.

I tend to use fogs only in bad weather or foggy weather. I didn't realize people were leaving on all the time. Also in my state you can't have more than 4 forward facing lights on at a time.

For a halogen, step up to a 9145 from the 9140. It's a 45w bulb instead of the 40w OEM bulb and it's safe for the housing. The color choice from there is up to you. I've found that the inexpensive Sylvania bulbs with no glass coating perform very well. I'm personally running the 9145 Philips Crystal Vision Ultra as the light is just slightly white-ish, but still no match to the HIDs. I'm contemplating a step to the HOEN Xenonmatch bulbs but I'm not 100% sold that they are a close match for the 4200k Osram Nightbreakers that I'm running in my retrofit.

But seriously, find a 9145 bulb. A 5w increase doesn't sound like much, but it's a noticeable improvement.

I just installed some Luminix by Putco and am very happy with them. The quality is amazing and the color matches pretty close to the hides. Oh and they are super bright. Need to get some pics up.

I just bought these bulbs. Figured for how cheap they are, I will try them out until some of you guys have those new TRS ones in and have some reviews for me to go by. I know the fogs are for bad weather but living in Winterpeg, the weather is always bad.

Mine are on 100% of the time my heads are on and in over a year never got flashed once. Just adjust them and you will be good. Sorry never got a pic my phone was acting up.

That's most states. That's why your fogs turn of when you have you brights on.
