great start man. for starters, 100 grit is usually wayyy too rough to start sanding primer on something like this.. id jump straight to 320 to minimize sanding marks. and the clear after your spray it will likely have orange peel unless youre spraying with quality equipment and good technique.. Just wetsand it with 600-2000 and give it a good polish with some compound.
That bevel really made things difficult. Trying to sand the whole oval without burning through all the edges was damn near impossible.
So I just literally took 600-1000 grit and sanded the whole bevel completely off (basically).
So now I am starting with a clean slate. The hardest part now is to figure out the best way to make a Ford stencil.
I've tried paper and bristol board but the paper is too frail and the bristol board doesn't dorm around the oval that great.
So I'm currently stuck til I figure out how to create the best possible stencil.
