I recently had my spray in done and I also have the bed extender. No issues at all with the extender working with the spray in liner. Have not truly testing the strength of the plastic extender but I have no doubts about its capability.

I order my 2011 with the bed extender and i got Line-x after i got the truck. There are no problems with the lines and bed extender. Is probably just a logistics issue.

I think there may be some confusion here; with respect to Ford saying--'pick one or the other'?

The OP only speaks to the [Accessories] section--not the factory Build & Price function. "I noticed on the Ford Accessories site that it says the bed extender is not compatible with spray in bed liners."

I have trial-built multiple vehicles on the Build & Price, each with Bed Xtnd, Bed Spray, and Tailgate Step; and it has not rejected it; you can mix the two on the build/price webpage, and all options are shown on the final build spec/summary.

If indeed a problem, why do they not have a warning pop-up for these options; similar to other features which are not compatible with each other. Even in going over my order with the dealer, he has not said a word about these not being options which can be ordered from the factory at build time.

Note: I just went on the Galpin Ford (SoCal) huge inventory webpage and pulled up some fully loaded trucks, and some of those window stickers, do show [both] the Bed Xtnd'r and the factory Bed Spray on the Factory Sticker/MSRP.

See if you can find the bed extender on CL. I bought mine for just $35.

Default Bed Extender bolts

Hi, I have a 2013 F150 FX4, I'm looking to install the OEM bed extender ( 9L3Z-99286A40-C) in the back with the spray in liner. My question is, does the mounting bolt just bolt into the middle hole or do I have to add a nut to the other side of the mounting surface? ( take off the tail lights and bolt it on )

Thanks in advance

Bolt is self-tapping and the middle hole isn't tapped. Just insert and go-for-it.
