Default Bakflip VP verses Hail

Final score, Hail: Several Dozen Backflip: Zero LOL!

We didn't get the real nasty stuff here. Pea sized but it was screaming. My crappy hot tub cover survived just fine so I was shocked to find this

If you live in an area prone to hail I would absolutely suggest not getting this model. There were some very nasty storms hit this area the messed up vehicles and even broke windows but like I said, here the hail wasn't that big and my vinyl hot tub cover survived just fine. Next time I'll go for one of the other models, I seem to remember there being a fiber plastic model that should do better.

Looking at it dry in the sun there's a couple you can barely see, Gotta see if it's even worth turning in a claim, I have a thousand dollar deductible so.... Going to go over it with a flashlight at night and see what shows up. I can live with the cover pot marked but not the truck.

I still can't believe the hot tub cover didn't get killed. Lost one about 6 years ago in a storm that didn't leave a mark on my truck I had back then.

Ha yeah good luck. I tried calling them 7-10 times and emailed at least 5 when I had problems with my VP and never got any further than "Someone will have to call you back". Frequently had 20+ minute hold times and never got a single email returned.

Hopefully that has changed or gotten better since earlier this year when I got rid of mine, but they are an AWFUL company to deal with after they have your money.

Yeah, I think I'll give them a call. Certainly isn't worth filing an insurance claim if the truck isn't damaged. If it has just a few marks I might go ahead and file a claim and just keep the money. I have to file a claim on the house anyway so I know they'll jack my rates so I might as well get my money's worth. The wife's escape has some pots on it.

My Roll-X is dented up like that as well. My truck, my car didn't dent but my Roll-X did. Imagine that.

Backflip was bought out by the parent company of Extant so hopefully service has improved.
