Do you REALLY need the relay?

Since these are so low-draw wouldn't it be ok to just tap into the other wires (blue/white for power and black for ground)? Wouldn't they still come on without the relay? (i'm a wiring idiot)

Just trying to make this easier on myself
I don't have the wiring diagram so I can't say how much current the factory Backup Lights draw. I not sure which fuse protects that circuit to know if an additional 2 amps would be an issue or not. Given the size of this board, I'm sure someone on here can speak to that. For me, installing the relay wasn't a problem.

Just look on eBay for 18 watt led lights and scroll through them. I have something similar if not the same under my bumper and they work great. I'll try to take a picture in the morning when I get out of work.

I installed these
Amazon.com: Signstek 18W CREE LED Flood Light Headlight Work Light Lamp off Road High Power ATV Jeep 4x4 Tractor off Road Light Fog Driving Bar Rree Truck SUV Car IP67 Waterproof Dustproof Shockproof *Black*: Automotive Amazon.com: Signstek 18W CREE LED Flood Light Headlight Work Light Lamp off Road High Power ATV Jeep 4x4 Tractor off Road Light Fog Driving Bar Rree Truck SUV Car IP67 Waterproof Dustproof Shockproof *Black*: Automotive
on my existing outer bolts of my FX2. I had the same problem with the tinted windows. I had put LED bulbs in first and that did not help enough. I just tapped in to the center pin on the trailer plug and then grounded the lights to themselves. They have only been on a couple of months, but accomplished what I needed to.
I have not posted pictures because I have embarrassingly not gone and tucked the wires yet - I wanted to see if they made a difference before I cleaned them all up.
I started with one light (to see if they were decent quality) and then purchased another one

These lights are available everywhere it seems. Best picture I have of them but they work great for around $35-$40 a pair. If I remember I'll try to get a night shot tonight.
