so i've noticed the OEM backup camera tends to get a lot of mud, rain spots and water on it so i was wondering if anyone has placed any type of film or coating over the lens to repel the moisture?

It would be nice if it had a sprayer on it normally when i walk by i give it a wipe with my finger would be a god idea to put a film on when scratched just replace instead of have a permanently scratched lens maybe a cut phone screen protector in a small circle

yah i was thinking something like that or a water repellent spray, just wondering if anyone else has done it

I hit mine with collinite 845 when I waxed the truck. Helped a bit with the water spotting.

rain-X might help keep it slicked up so stuff falls off.

ford should have designed the lens to have a small piece of metal that projects out from the top of it so when it does rain the water will not run down the lens but drop off the ledge.. make sense?

its their, just deal with it or get a truck that has no camera. i just wipe mine with my finger if thats your issue than u have bigger issues
