Default Auxilliary Cooling Fan for 2014 F150, 5.0

A/C is a little thin at idle and speeds up to 40 so I'm thinking of adding a fan in front of the condenser for added capacity during the Texas summer. Good idea/bad idea and what fan/thermostat would you recommend?

Notice that Amazon has a Motorcraft dual fan assembly but not sure if this goes in front or behind the trans cooler or if anyone has any experience with this particular unit. Aftermarket fans seem to be a crap shoot so what's a trusted brand?

Have the system pressures checked first...

I think there was a PCM reprogramming of the fans, for ac poor cooling issues, on the 2012 and early 2013. Have you had that done by Ford?
