Mine stay on all the time too. I'm not complaining too much that they stay on during the day though because the lights turn off when the key is off. I hated you had to turn the lights off when you get out of the truck or they stayed on forever. I wonder why the sensor doesn't work with the 11's but does with 10's and older. Strange

Yes that is weird. Cuz everyone is saying that thier lights stay on all the time, except when the truck is off(I'm assuming they are 2011's). But mine(a 2010) turns off in the day. And works how(I think) its supposed to.

Thanks to Mbullock for the part #'s, I just did this today and it took 5 mins and works. I have a 2010 and covered the sensor to test and it works like it should.

Thanks, I will now love not having to turn my lights on and off!

For those of you with 11s and the the lighta are not turning off- there may need to be a reflash of the computer. My 11 Lariat has the auto lights and there is a screen where you can set the time for the headights to remain on after exiting the truck. It seems that everything on the 11s goes through the computer in one way or another. Just a thought. Even the wipers go thrugh the computer. You can turn the courtesy wipe on or off through one of the screens.

Haahaha!!! I'm not sure.

Best I can do is this,

On your truck there should be a plug here,(where my sensor is)it just pulls up with your fingers. There's a wiring harness attached to it, just plug that into the sensor.

Then pull this panel out here

Then you will be able to reach in and pop out the existing headlight switch from the back. There are tabs on it you can push down. Then the new one plugs right in. This will be 5 minutes seriously.

+1

I can vouch this works on my '09 STX. Both parts cost me roughly $76 shipped from Tasca Parts

For those of you, who have done the mod and the lights remain on, you might be missing a wire, fuse or relay. I pulled my switch out of the panel, simply by inserting a screw driver behind the switch. However, with the switch disconnected from the connector, the lights were on ALL the time.

I hope to be doing the mod, shortly, when I might have more information, about the problem/cure.
