yes... are you saying you wish it was the passenger side too?

i for one am glad its only the driver side and review (truthfully i wish there was a way to turn it off in certain situations...)...

with the height of the truck, and the auto dimming... cars that come up behind me at night basically dissapear... its a little unnerving, because then these geniuses try and and swing around me while im changing lanes... ya, i know i'll win.. .but still...

thanks for validating, i thought i got ripped off with one auto dimming side mirror. so far i have no problem with cars disappearing. maybe due to our small two lane highway hehehe.. actually, i love this feature

This is yet another bell and whistle that I do not like. Also the mirror is distorted and shows double images.

glare is reduced on the two closest mirrors toward your field of vision.

I love those auto dimming mirrors. The reason the passenger mirror isn't autodimming is because it's convex shape. Lights hitting the mirror bounce off in directions not directly hitting the driver's eyes.

I haven't driven this truck at night much yet, just in the city. Is it possible to see cars driving at night with no lights with these mirrors, or are they rendered totally invisible?

Cars driving without lights at night are hard to see in the rear view mirrors, with or without autodimming fetures.

The autodimming mirrors darken as light is detected during the dark hours. Think of it this way - the mirrors only dim when there are headlights behind you. If you're on a dark deserted road at night, the dim on the mirrors is very light.

it self adjust to the brightness of the light, no light = no dimming

I love mine and have not had an issue with double images, or cars disappearing because of the mirrors.
