That should cover just about everybody-
vehicle: 2014 fx2 super crew sport with lux package sony/nav/sub
here is the problem. for some reason my passenger side tweeter keeps blowing. initially I believed the amp was feeding it too much power (I have a 4 channel for speakers and mono for subs). I dialed down the amp and within 3 days the tweeter was blown again. I decided that it was getting too expensive buying new tweeters, so I wired the 1 side (passenger) to the factory wiring. within 3 days the damn thing blew again!
for my audio settings I keep the treble down to 0- so I am not sure what is causing this to keep happening. Lord of the Forum- bestow upon me your wisdom

first are the tweeters the 2nd is the amp. I had alpine type s components initially so those are also powered by the amp (back stock speakers as well)

They have In Line crossovers! The bass blockers were a waste of $$$, Id remove the bass blockers. That could be the issue! Id try thst 1st and see.

Kidastra- I understand what you're saying about the impedance, though its only the one side that has faced the issue. not entirely sure why its a unilateral issue and why both sides haven't been effected

initially they were just wired to the cross overs. it failed, so then we tried the bass blockers as well which failed as well.

Id suggest getting the amp replaced with another, see if that fixes the issue, and check the wiring from amp to tweeter.
Since you bpught from crutchfield, explain to them the issue, and see what they say! Theyre very knowledgable.

at first I thought it was the amp. but the last time they blew, they were wired factory...
