Aries Floor Liners Not Compatible with 2011?
Hey guys, just want to check on something or relay what I have found & been told.
I ordered a set of the Aries Automotive floor liners for my new '11 FX4. Part number is 52700101 for the black ones. The driver side liner does not fit! It only has provisions for 1 locking tab on the left side, and it appears to be opposite as far as the tab goes. Meaning the locking tab on the floor of my truck is the male side and the female side should be in the liner/floor mat. The ones I received this is opposite, the male tab is on the liner.
I called the company I ordered from, and while they had a great price, the customer service sucked. They referred me to calling Aries directly. I did so and spoke with Alex who told me that they just received this change notification last week, and that they were 90 days out at least on getting the moldings done and getting them in production!
Needless to say I was disappointed. Has anyone else ran into this?? I just want to make sure I'm not getting the run around on this..

Ive seen other people say the same thing, apparently Ford changed the floor posts from 2010 to 2011. Aries really is an awesome mat compared to the weathertech, I have both. Id wait for them if you can.

I guess I missed those that had already figured this out! I just kept seeing that the Aries liners are the superior liner for the fronts so I ordered them up. Guess I will be waiting for the re-design.
Hopefully this post may keep someone else from making the same mistake as me.

You just kept me from making the same mistake! Thanks!
I ordered the weathertechs for the back. I'll see how the mats that come with the FX4 work out before I decide on the front mats.

Your welcome! My post was worth it then! I do have to say I really liked them though. I will wait it out for the re-design.
And when you get a chance check back on my adell edge guards thread. You were interested in those also, I got them today and they are awesome. I posted my review with pics just a little while ago.

I talked to Billy in the Aries Texas office today checking into this same thing. He said the mats are being made for both style of posts and that the part number would be the same. He said to be sure whoever you order the mats from know you have the two posts and they should pull the newer "version" of the mats.
On another note, I've had weathertech for some time now in my past trucks and have no problems. While the Aries are a bit thicker according to the rep, there is no other difference. I can buy a complete Screw set of WT for $170, but can't find the Aries any cheaper than about $230 or so.
