Default Anyone install flush mount LEDs in the front bumper pads?

I was thinking about adding a couple of flush mounts in mine. Looks like they would go in without too much of a hassle.

In plastic? and there's not a lot of depth in the pad.

From what I remember, you will need to cut metal behind those pads. Rigid does make a flush mount kit. Used them on the rear bumper of my bro's Raptor.

I was going to add some lights on the steel bumper pads I fabricated, but I didn't make much deeper than the factory pad.

i was thinking about doing the same thing but after removing the pads to install a light bar in the hole i realized theres only about an inch or less in depth behind there. You would definatly have to cut the metal behind the pads in order to fit a light in it. I myself am not risking it. maybe find another bumper on ebay or something to cut up then paint over so it doesn't rust. i believe i saw one on craigslist that i might look into.

Thanks for the reply guys. I installed the flush mounts on my rear bumper yesterday and was motivated to at least do some research on the front. I think I'll pull the pads off and see if it can be done but still with a professional look. If I get it done I'll post pic of it.

I think you'll have a hell of a time trying to get them aligned straight ahead, while not looking like a hack job.

The stock bumper pads are "aimed" outward. I would just put some behind the grill or in the intercooler opening and call it a day. I don't think flush mounts fit the application in this case.

Do you have any pics when you were making them. I'd like to make a pair for myself

6" channel with a little bend and end welded end caps. Welded 4) 1/4 x 20 threaded rod on the backside of the channel that aligned with the plastic bumper tab slots in the bumper.
