Anyone else's 2011 F150 AC system suck?

Mine works great, the truck is a month old. I do miss the AC seats from my car though, the boys like to be cool. My guess it's something to do with the thermostat in the climate controls. Maybe it's saying one thing but reading a different temp. Wonder if that can e re calibrated.

Can't say I have any problems with mine. It starts off cold and just gets colder, to the point of too cold....keep in mind I live in Alaska, and really don't use it until ambient temp is around 75. The R-134a refrigerant has a different vapor pressure than the R-12 refrigerant in your 40 year old car...in english it means the R-134 will never get as cold as the "old/banned" R-12. I used to do A/C work but not in 15 years and never on cars.
LOL..... Yeah I wouldnt imagine you would have much problems with AC up there....
Im down south of Houston... it is right at 100* today and high humidity....... Running errands, in and out of the truck after short spurts of driving etc, had me and my fiancee sweating....pretty much sucked... Now at night or real early in the morning, the AC system seems to cool ok...and ofcourse it should. The fact is, this thing is averaging 50* vent temps when it should easily be 5-8* cooler.....really about 10*. Pretty much every other vehicle I own will stay at 40-42* using this exact same digitial gauge...

2010 scab STX and mine works great and my truck doesn't feel power loss. I'm in VA and temps have been at 100 for a while, my truck sits in direct sunlight for 12 hours while at work. Gray paint and gray interior.
I have the manual controls so maybe you are onto something with your's being all integrated and digital.

I am not sure how the climate control thing is actually controlled but.... after watching the cycles and vent temps at cycle points.... something is having the compressor cycle off WAY too early on the initial cool down... Normally AC systems will begin cooling and the compressors stay engaged until either pressure switches are activated or the evaporator core temp is getting TOO cold, which can cause evap freezing up...
Normally all of these factors are controlled by a thermistor and an ECU....I am thinking for some reason the ECU is telling the compressor to cycle off way too soon and way too often. I think the freon and other "cooling" components are working fine, they are just not being allowed to run long enough before being cycled off.

Some of our newer semi trucks use the ambient temperature sensor to adjust the AC output, if the ambient temperature sensor fails the AC wont run at all! Pretty weird.

The ac in my 2003 f150 is colder than my new 2011 f150. I took both trucks to service and showed him the difference between both of them, he noticed the difference right away and said he would look into it.

mine works fine and its auto, i set it to 68 degrees and turn it up to 70 if the sun goes under a cloud cause it gets too cold. Its been 80s-95 here the last few weeks with no issues. I also use my A/C seats.

Mine keeps my nuts from sweating no problem.
