Default Anyone disable their belt minder (2013 models)

Okay before anything else, yes I did read the owner's manual. Ford did not change their procedure in the owner manual as compared to previous years but it is not working for me.

Truck in park, parking brake on, doors closed - done
Turn ignition on & wait 1 minute for seat belt light to go off - done
Buckle and unbuckle 3 times in 30 seconds - done
Seat belt light turns on for 3 seconds - done
Buckle and unbuckle 1 time in 7 seconds - done
After this nothing happens (No flashing seat belt light confirming it was turned off)

That's exactly how I did it and the dang thing still beeps at me. Any ideas or has anyone done it on their 2013 yet?

I don't need the seat belt police on the forum to tell me to wear my seat belt. I use my truck on jobsites so I am in and out of it a lot going a whopping 2mph in the dirt which is why I would like it turned off, of course I wear my seat belt for normal driving conditions.

Why not just wear it? Snap it on before ya get outta the driveway and it'll be quiet. Why ya gotta be a belt hater?......lol.... I won't preach, but mine saved my life once, and I've seen many people walk away from crashes because they wore their belt. Enough said.

Looked up the manual on the web and it looks like your procedures are correct.
I would not think they would change it between the 2012 and 2013.

Since I do not have a '13 my only recommendation is to try again making sure to follow instructions exactly. Maybe you overlooked something when you actually tried it? Took me a couple of times when I did mine.

It aggravates me when the seat belt police chime in as well.

Plug it in and sit on it.fixed.
I worked for a company that monitored our seatbelt usage. Getting called on it when moving a truck a few feet to spot was a pain in the azz, so we plugged it in and wore it when we hit the road.

Yeah I tried it a few different times, even tried the passenger seat as well with no success... maybe I'll just take it to the dealer and let them figure it out.

dont think the dealer will turn it off being its a mandatory safety feature by the government. you could always get a seat belt extended and plug it in. or cut the be part that clicks in out of a junker

I am looking to do this on my new truck too. Riding around the deer lease roads, it is not necessary to wear a seat belt. I will try mine this afternoon.
