Thanks for all the help. bomba73... I'm not sure of the difference in rebates but It seems that the 2013s are about $3k - $4k cheaper than the 2014s. It seems like there is about $4750 in basic rebates, plus an extra $1500 package rebate thats applied on the sticker (depending on package). The rest is made up of dealer negotiations.

Just an update..... I went out of town for a good deal. I just checked dealer inventory at dealers near me until I found the truck I wanted. I hit a couple up and got the deal I was looking for, 4 hours away. Trade in was acceptable, but definitely not best case scenario. They gave me black book on it which was middle of the line between Kellys and Edmunds. HOWEVER, as prepared as I was for the purchase and the trade in, I was not prepared for the finance guy. Embarassing as it is to admit, he worked me over. I had been at the dealership for far too long to think straight at that point. He took away the Ford financing incentive in order to get me a better rate and he added on the ESP to drop the rate. The good news is I can cancel the warranty. In summary, I still got a much better deal doing my research and going out of town. However, next time around I may just pay the couple thousand extra and skip all the headaches. If you are shopping and wanting a good deal, my advice is not not forget about financing!! Get a deal set up from your local bank before you even go to the dealership and don't let the dealer know about it.

You can check on current rebates/incentives in any area of the country by going to www.ford.com. Under "Shopping Tools" you will see "rebates/incentives", and just put in the zip code of the area.

Don't shop at FORD OF MURFREESBORO, TN.

You'll get a shafting so hard, it will hurt for weeks! LOL
