I have two radios in the truck.
An Icom 2820 VHF-UHF and a Icom 7000, HF-VHF-UHF.

There are two antennas currently installed using Breedlove pocket stake mounts/brackets.
https://breedlovemounts.com/

These brackets are using NMO mounts for the antenna. I am going to use another Breedlove bracket in the rear driver side pocket stake to mount the Scorpion antenna. This antenna is very large and heavy, dont use a wimpy mount or the antenna will be impaling a car or for sure run over.

Ram mount for faceplates of IC-2820 and IC-7000

Side profile of suction cup mount with 1.5 inch length arm.

Mounting of radios IC-7000 on left side and the IC-2820 on the right. A West Mountain 4005 USB is the power distribution platform. There is a GPS/APRS tracker from Byonics in the middle, under the RigRunner. This is behind the second set of seats on the driver side.

Antenna with the breedlove EZN 4 degree mount under the rail cover.

View from the rear seat of the control heads... the microphone for the IC-2820 is placed in the pocket hole below the ignition.

Ram mount for Ipad... Great to use for maps and traffic.

These a few of the photos on the Breedlove pocket stake mounts used along with some pictures of the waterproofing.

Weatherproofing the connector, gotta keep the water out.
There is a layer of glue heatshrink, layer of 88, butyl tape and a final layer of 3M 88 tape.

I will create a page in the coming days of the whole install.

The coax is run thru the grommet under the step into the truck. The power was run by piercing a hole in the large grommet behind the glovebox. I would not recommend running coax up to the front and especially not along the power that will power the radio.

Feel free to ask any questions if you are so inclined.

Best Regards and good luck in the install.

Jesus. It looks like NASA stole your truck and turned it into a launch vehicle.

Well, I received my Larson NMO 150 2m antenna and ProFit bracket, been out a couple of hours now running the coax through the groment (what a PITA). Ended up going around it, rather than through it, couldn't get it to fit even with the coat hanger and electrical tape trick (probably need two people)

None the less, my next question, I remember seeing someone that had mounted their radio to the flat part of the console on top of the dash? I did a search and didn't find what I was looking for? What I need to know is; How does that piece come off (pop out, screws, etc...) and how did he run the wires from the gromets to that particular area? I like that install in particular as it is clean looking. BTW, I have an ICOM 2100h, so no faceplate or I would have just bout a window mount and this would all be over already LOL!! Thanks for the help.

I was wondering about mounting a mobile in my truck and figured there must be hams with F150s. I'm currently using a FT-60 through a mag mount Larsen 2/70 on a backrack antenna mount. I'll eventually upgrade to a proper mobile unit (thinkin 2900 since I don't need anything fancy.) I have a Supercab so I don't know if the seats fold down like the crew does to do the clean behind the seat install like Noid.

Has anyone run their HAM through sync via the line in?

I do my scanner and/or cb audio thru Sync Line in which really works well. There's another fellow on here who does the same using an Altoids mixer - the Icom 2200 has such a good speaker, I just use its audio - not to mention the radio is mounted right by my head...see my other threads for pix. The really good thing about using sync line in is that it gets muted when a phone call comes in, as well as super easy volume controls.
