Another A/C post
OK, So I thought my 2011 XLT A/C was so so and chalked it up to these trucks just don't have great A/C. Well Im changing my opinion. Seems I have never run it for a long time on MAX.
I live in the panhandle of Florida, its usually around 90° even when its hot but we get the rare three digit day here and there.
Well, this week we hit 107°F and high humidity. The A/C in my truck kept up just fine as long as it was on MAX.
Today it was only 88° and the setting was still set on MAX and it was way too cold in there after a 15 minute ride, I actually had to turn it down and on Normal it was still very nice. I would never have known how cold that thing gets on MAX if we didn't have such a heat wave.

Yeah the ac system on these trucks is amazing on max one thing ive learned from monitoring my truck is that if its over heating i turn the ac on max forcing the fan to kick on max and every time it cools the truck down in seconds

It'd be interesting to see what vent temps you're getting, if you have a thermometer.
Comfort is subjective -- on a hot day, I'd love to have my cab at an honest 65* (which just doesn't happen on my stock system), while my wife shivers at 75*.

I've never had a problem with the ac in my 13 either, knock on wood. Freeway cruising for 10 mins or more gets the coldest results and eventually I have to turn it down even on the hottest days. I have no thermometer but it feels like its easily down into the 50's under those circumstances. I'm sure someone here will get butthurt at that and call bs on me

What may be a comfortable temperature to some may be different for others. I sometimes think I'm an Eskimo in my truck and my house. If it's not at least 72 degree F ambient temperature I'm not comfortable. Everyone should remember that your truck is like a big oven. If it sits outside in the sun for several hours it's going to take a while to cool it down. Also our trucks aren't very well insulated from the heat. When the AC is working at its MAX the outside surface is still radiating heat into the cab. Especially those trucks with dark paint. If you want to do a test in the hot sun just find a dark colored vehicle sitting next to a White one and feel the difference in the surface temperature. Even though I like the looks other colors, this is the main reason I buy White ones.

Max AC doesn't seem to circulate to the back seat very well. Floor vents are turned off. My kids can still be sweating with the fan speed any less than the half way setting.
