Default Annoying Squeak coming from the bed?

2014 XLT Super Crew 5.5ft bed. I've got a really annoying squeak coming from somewhere at the back of the truck. I think it's coming from the tailgate. I hear it with every little bump and seems like it's happening when the bed shakes.

I'm going to hit all cable attachment points, latches, hinges, strikers, etc. with some spray dry lubricant and see where that gets me.

Anyone experience this before? Any other suggestions? Thanks.

Yep I get it too. I grease the latches on the tailgate that shuts it up for a while but it'll be back.

Tailgate squeak. Mine gets bad every so often. Tried the latch but I think it's near the bottom hinge. Going to take mine out and grease.

Try hitting the back of the tailgate to reproduce. Mines bottom left.

I also had squeaky leaf springs but that went away after some silicone spray (some will tell you not to do that though)..

^^This - mine does it every now and then if I don't shut it firmly.
Took me a few weeks to figure out what it was.

i took off the cover the inside of my tailgate and re-adjusted the handle rods that connect to the latch to the handle and it fixed my squeak. i think as it breaks in the latch loosens up.

Do you have the step? I had the most annoying squeak that sounded like styrafoam rubbing together. Five dealer trips and they said oh other trucks do it so it is normal. I was livid... Went home and was looking around. I tried opening the step, putting a piece of the foam you wrap around pipes and closing it. IT STOPPED! I was so happy to be able to open my rear window again.
