Checking out '14 Lariat Ecoboost
Boys, I shouldn't have tested a new truck. At dealer now, seeing wha' kind of deal they can make. I'm salesman's worst nightmare, make them think I'll buy, then don't. I just move real slow when it comes to parting with me lucres. Anyway, it's the first Ecoboost I've driven, they have this one that dealer drove for 1,000 miles left over. I'll see...
Oh, anything I need to know specifically about a '14? Long time member here, so I've probably read most stuff, that's one reason I'm interested in '14, haven't read many issues with them. Course, they are still fairly new, but it seems Ford has ironed out most issues...

While my '02 is in shop, I drove the '14 Lariat above, but they gave me a '13 5.0 as a loaner while mine is in shop. Wow, I do like the way the 5.0 drives! It has 37,500 miles on it, reckon it's a trade in. It's the extended cab, '14 Ecoboost is SuperCrew. Oh me, I love my '02, it almost seems like a mid size compared to the newer ones, but I'm liking wha' the modern world has! Well, y'all boys chime in. I could get the '14 Lariat Ecoboost for $39,400 plus my '02. New one is 4x4, 36 gallon tank, 3.31 differential, 3.5 Ecoboost. At least I'll get to drive the '13 5.0 for a few days this weekend. I'm even liking it a lot!

Are you saying 39k plus your truck? So if you're truck is worth $5,000 you're giving 44k? I'm not sure what your truck is worth but that doesn't sound like a great deal. I paid 39k for my fully loaded '13 FX4 at the end of 2013.

Also check to see if the warranty was activated. And if so what was the date. The warranty could be 1 yr into it.
I picked up a 2013 platinum with 50k miles for $31k.
Like the others said. If it's 39k plus additional credit for trade. Not a bad deal. If it's 39k with trade credit, I think that might be high .

Negotiate with the dealer for the 39K before your trade in. Depending on how desperate they are to move the truck you might get a good deal. One of my co-workers just got a left over '14 4x4 6.5ft box supercrew EB 3.31 302A in ruby red on the road for 39k. He has a 2005 (I believe) sierra that he is selling privately and this is in Canada.
I think you can get the deal if you push hard enough.

I checked on NADA and KBB, and they both show it as being more. KBB showed $47,000, NADA shows $45,000. This one is Lariat, GPS map thingamajig, backup camera, front/side warning thingamajigs, 4x4, 3:31 locking diff, 36 gallon tank, gold plated paint (just jestin'), sticker is $52,290.00. The 1,000 miles was only driven by dealer owner they said. It'd come with full warranty. Anyway, appreciate y'all's input.
