Worst quality vehicle I've ever owned
I bought a 2011 F150 Supercrew 4x4 Platinum Ecoboost new in 2011. I wanted the best (or so I thought). Just out of warranty the vacuum pump started squealing, here's a pic of it after 40,000 miles:
I fixed the vacuum pump myself!
About the same time I realized I had to add antifreeze to the truck. It's leaking and it's all part of the airbox.
Also the power running boards failed and Ford ABSOLUTELY tries to RAPE customers on replacements of these!!!!!
ALL of these problems aren't unique to me! I have researched the internet and found that ALL of these issues are common. I still only have 47,000 miles on this truck and I have to work on it like a 15 year old chevy. Frustrating that I spent that much money for this poor quality truck.
FORD doesn't admit to their problems, doesn't stand by their product and then charges 4x what they should for parts. What a shame!

Unfortunately **** happens. Sounds like you got a problem truck.
One thing for sure, I'll never buy a first year vehicle. I know there's lots of people with 11's that are happy though

I seem to have bad luck, and I understand the first year thing, I just wish Ford would own up their mistakes and take care of people with good old fashioned customer service.

Should have bought an extended warranty. That would have covered those items.

Which other auto manufacturer fixes stuff for free after the warranty expires?

Wasn't the point guys! MY POINT IS....known problems that are frequent. service bulletin or recall. My 4 Chevys have had several recalls but at least they admit it and FIX it. I would even be willing to fix it at my expense but the prices for parts are OUT OF THIS WORLD!

Ford's are historically more expensive to work on for some reason, which is probably why more Chevys are used at the track, dime a dozen parts.
