Just thought I would give you guys a quick post based off my last frustrating experience...
As my name suggests, I have a leveled 2014 XLT scab.
After I did the level kit I adjusted my toe in and adjusted my headlights but I left the stock fog lights because I wasn't sure how the level would affect them.
Well its been a little over a month and I could tell there was bad glare for on-comming because my fogs were lighting up tree tops so I wasn't using them too often. I was driving through a snow storm last week and visibility was terrible, so I tried the fogs hopping to throw some light out down low so it wouldn't reflect off snow flakes (same concept as low light during fog)
and they made things 10 times worse. So after the level my fogs were useless...
Tried to adjust them and the drivers side is a PITA! the adjustment screw is a number 2 philips but there is no way to get a screw driver in there. I couldn't even get a stubby to work. I had to take a philips bit and put it in an adjustable wrench to turn it. I used a set if pliers to really squeeze the jaws together to bite the bit so it wouldn't fall out(see attached picture)
I couldn't get a good picture to illustrate the problem so I drew it out on a picture of the passenger side. The stubby gets jammed in some plastic and metal that reinforces the bumper. A straight screwdriver is put on too much of an angle to turn the screw without stripping it. A Philips bit and a Rachet was still too big. Luckly the phillips bit and adjustable worked!
I'm assuming that this is a problem because they used the same fog light receiver on both sides so one side has great access and the other one is in a tight spot due to the curve of the bumper.
Since my truck is only 3 months old, nothing was seized or brittle. If you were doing this on a 5-10 year old truck you may want a beer or two to help with the patience

Guess I'm lucky. I have 4" long ratchet handle with snap in screwdriver bits that pass thru the handle. These may be available at cheap tool sales. Or your way works for one time use.
