I rented a recent 13 Eco on business trip and is just as bad as my 11 3.7. Ford techs I've had mine to only test in shaded a/c garage.

I guess the only it feels hot in my truck is because I have an inaccurate thermometer in there and not because I didn't feel like it was cooling adequately enough and decided I needed a thermometer to check the cooling temperature.

Now that they will not do anything about it, should I check with another dealer or just take it to a buddy that owns a garage and have him fix it?

BTW it's Blue Jean Metallic with factory tint and gray cloth interior.
I stopped by my buddy's shop yesterday. I had just driven an hour before I got there and asked him to check it. He checked with his calibrated thermometer and was extrememly close to my thermometer (both reading 48-49*. They hooked up the gauges and it was about half a can low of freon. That dropped the temperature down to 43-44 just sitting there at idle. On the way home I saw temperatures as low as 40.5.

Maybe it will cool off quicker now.

After taking a temperature reading of the air blowing from my AC vent, I definitely think I have a problem with mine as well. After driving continuously at 50 mph, I was unable to get the temperature below 61 degrees. When sitting at idle, the temperature was sitting right around 65 degrees. I believe this is a far cry from where it should be. These temperatures are not normal, right????

The ambient temperature at the time of the reading was 87 degrees with a humidity level right around 85%. Needless to say, I think I need to schedule a service appointment to have this corrected. Since the truck is less than a year old, I do not feel that I should pay out of pocket and try to correct this on my own.

I stuck an ac thermometer in the inside drivers instrument panel vent. With my ac on full cold, fan on half way, max ac off, at idle and running around town, the air temp was cycling between 42 and 52 with out side temp about 80 deg.

Just did a trip with our trailer to CA. We hit temps around 105 and though the AC was adequate it had to always be set at 70 to really work. My 06 seemed to work better to the point where I would have to se it around 75 or it would get too cold. One thing I noticed is the seat cooling is the worst out of any vehicle that I have owned

Mine seems fine but its slow for the coil to get cool. Seems like you have to drive a mile or so before you get real cold air. but with the front and rear vents open and max A/C on once it starts to get cooled down and it stays good. and its black on black.

You know what, I am not sure if that was with Max AC on or not. I will need to double check this afternoon and take another reading. Thanks for mentioning that Kbass.

Did the foam wrap a few days ago. Went on a 6 hour road trip today with ambient temps around 108 degrees. I actually had to back off the fan and Max A/C !

Seems like my A/C runs much cooler around 75-85 mph.

Does anyone know what Ford is using to trigger the compressor to cycle? Is it pressure or temperature? Mine is never colder than 45 degrees.
