I'm not sure if this is related but after putting the refrigerant in, my cooling fans pretty much stay on high if its over 85 degrees outside, no matter how hot the engine is. Its really loud and pretty much stays on, I can hear it in the cab. Is this related to the AC or something different? I've also run the truck without the AC on (for about a minute, its all I could stand) and the fan still stayed on.
Edit: I checked the pressure and it reads 35 psi (about 86 F ambient temp). I left the gauge on and turned off the truck and it reads up at 70 psi. Is that normal?

Driving down the road with a meat thermometer in the vent, all I could get was low 50's. I called my local Ford service dept. and I will be taking it in Tuesday. He said it should be around 37.

I wish my service writer thought 37 was the goal. Ford "spec" is 49 or lower I'm told by 3 dealers.

I thought my air conditioner didn't get to cold till the power goes out at the hunting camp in Louisiana summer. I swear it felt colder than ever in my truck haha

This is what I was told to, my now traded in 2011 XLT was at 46 degrees at the vents tested in their air conditioned shaded service bay.

He was like "yep, well within spec".

I said yep, if I lived in Alaska......Texas, not so much.

Yesterday the outside air temp got down to 72, but the best I could get out of the vents is 50. I might just have to go talk to the dealer.

No complaints at all with it down here in North Carolina.

You have too much in there....same thing I did. I ended up emptying out my system, pulling vacuum on it and putting in the correct amount. Haven't had to use max ac yet (normal gets around 43 degrees) and I am in GA.
