get the 6.2. my mileage is horrible with my 2011 fx4 crew. i have 20k miles on it and use it mostly as a commute and 20% pulling 18.5' boat. avg mileage lifetime is 11.9. i will not have another 5.0 EVER!!!

Im an EB guy, but that 6.2 would be hard to pass up. Id say spend the extra $$$ and get it. The 5.0 isnt that much of an upgrade over your 5.4, that you already have said you wish had more power. So get more power!!!!

As for the 6.2 .... yeah... different league.

Engine type 3.5L V6 EB 5.0L V8 6.2L V8
Horsepower 365 360 411
Torque 420 380 434
Numbers don't really mean much. What matters is how long it holds that power and at what RPM it is achieved at.

nope travel 12 miles one way to work at 70mph. in town about 3 minutes. not sure why mine is so bad. the best i have ever gotten was 18.2 on a long trip... over 300 miles one way. on the positive side i pulled a 5500 lb loaded up trailer with atvs at 75 600 miles and got 10.8. was happy with that.
