If someone comes to a public form posts information which he or she isn't knowledgeable or correct and the expectation is to let it ride to misinform other users?

In the desire to exchanging knowingly accurate information it is necessary from time to time to correct or challenge what is potentially misinformation. There's no need for personally demeaning remarks.

The premise is correct however, a lower fill or over fill does not change oil pressure.

Then I started it and James Bond would have been proud of the smoke screen that filled the shop and choked us all out to the street

While letting the smoke clear the answer was soon learned what had happened and the dumbass that had no business going into my stall was let go, wasn't his 1st screwup, just the proverbial straw breaking the camels back.

That was an overfill to remember.

This is exactly what i was getting at...IF ford calls for 7.7 and not 8, how do you know that the crank isnt hitting oil wiht 8 in???

I'm sure if you are using 8 1 quart bottles, the amount that sticks to the inside of them would even that out. Not to mention the truck is equipped with a dipstick if you are unsure.
