I have the 5.5 and find it easy to park. Not sure how much tougher the 6.5 would be. I don't need to haul a lot of big stuff and have a nice utility trailer for that anyway. I actually think the 6.5 looks better. More proportionate. But the truck I got was what was avalible and I like everything about it so for me the bed size was never an issue. I have driven an F350 SC 8' box. Now thats something you don't just scoot around the parking lot.

6.5 looks better. More proportional than a 5.5

It all depends on what you need! Personally that foot less fits my garage perfectly with just enough space to walk around. Though looks are personal, I like the smaller one better, the extra foot makes the whole truck look a lot longer than it already is.

Default 6.5 bed

Parking be damned. I have the 5.5 and wish I had the 6.5, or rather the 8 ft. in a screw if they made one. It gives you more options for so many things. Truck camper ....

Thanks for all the replies.

I went and looked at them again tonight and I'm going with the 5.5. The 6.5 just looks huge. I don't think I'll miss the extra foot too often, but I'll be parking the thing daily. In my garage at work, it's already a little tight with my current truck, so I think the 6.5 would be tough.

Good choice. I test drove the 6.5 and wasn't concerned w/parking it at all and it would fit in my garage (a little tight) But that thing just looked sooo long (think locomotive lol). I know looks is a matter of opinion but I think the 5.5 looks really sharp. 6.5 cost $300 more and has less re-sale valus down the road.

Definately a personnal choice. Me, I didn't like the look of the 5.5. What sealed the deal on the 6.5 bed was after I threw some 6ft folding tables in the back of my current truck, I was able to closed the hardcover and tailgate. With the 5.5 bed I would not able to do so.
