Does Ford have any plans for a 5.0 Ecoboost engine? That's an engine I'm really looking forward to........

i dont think they do. i think they have been testing a 6.2L ecoboost to go into higherend trucks and the gt500 but im not 100% sure though. i know they need to replace the outdated 5.4L in the GT500

You can't eco-boost the 6.2 because it isn't a direct injection motor.

2012 GT500 will have a twin turbo 5.0L. Should be ~600HP. Final calibration HP numbers are not in yet.

guess its too late to hope for a super charger.another lightning would be nice.

Ford is done with SC's for a while. They have invested lots of R&D and $$$ in turbos and the Eco Boost technology.
