Default 5.0 2013 concerns

Alright I need a more experienced person to help me out. Truck was idling very rough brought it in for service. After running compression test they found cylinder #7 exhaust valve had a 30% loss. They said it was a defective exhaust valve guide and a burnt valve seal on #7. They replaced the cylinder head assembly on bank 2. Now I've been told these 5.0 liters are whisper quiet when running correct. From what I hear is a tapping noise. Anyone have a link to what a correctly running 5.0 sounds like? I've included the link as to what mine sounds like.
any advice is greatly appreciated.

Video is set to private, can't see it...and no they are not whipser quiet, in fact they're kind of noisey because of how they're constructed. I get a slight knock type deiselish sound when idling but I think that's fairly normal if that's what you're hearing. If it's loud that might be an issue

Yup and all the 5.0 on the lot where quiet. Granted they were brand new but they did compare them to mine which is how the got the bank 2 cylinder heads replaced. Oh well warrantied through 100k so they'll be hearing from again. Next oil change I'm going to be present and I want to see the oil and filter for metal shavings. Bull**** that a 2013 with 44k on the odometer has all these issues already.

In my experience any motor that is OHC or DOHC has valve train noise. I own a Dodge Magnum with the 5.7 Hemi in it... they call it a Singer because it sounds just like a singer sewing machine... I own a Honda Element that say A Happy Valve is a Slappy Valve...

You got to remember you will also have noticeable noise from the coil packs, and the fuel injectors not just the valves.
