EB Using Tuners - Turning off Torque Mangement
Is anyone that is using one of the various tuners on their 3.5L EB running it with torque management turned off? If you are, what are the shift characteristics? Does it appear to be harder on the driveline under normal driving conditions?

I am curious to know the answer to this question myself. Once my warranty is up I was planning on getting a tuner and turning torque management off as well.

I could tell a difference when I turned it off. I didn't feel like it hit the gears harder or anything, it was just more powerful. Normal driving seems the same to me. I asked for more power and I want it, reducing power seems really silly to me.

What is torque mgmt? Is this like the brief pause programmed into the Gen 2 Lightnings between gear changes to prolong the life of the transmission? Or are you talking about preserving the factory line pressure? Or modulating the throttle opening?

You know, I'm not really sure. On the EB I'm guessing that it is some combination of all of those things. I know that there seems to be a brief interruption (reduction?) in power as the truck shifts. Other threads have mentioned that the throttle is modulated as well with reductions in boost to avoid slamming 400+ lb/ft of torque on the transmission all the time.
