for fastening fabric
as an example, the guys at work with 5.0 coolant problems often see dealers charge 300-400 to fix the issues. I paid maybe $60 in parts and coolant for my own pickup. my brother who works at a dealership told me that new car sales are the owner's profits, but the service department is what pays the bills for the dealer. take that for what it's worth.

They clean the carbon of the back of the intake valves by removing the intake manifold.

I've always said that! People get so pissed because someone with a trade you can't do charges xyz! Too funny!
I hear it all the time in the other skilled trades also!
Op look up the process on YouTube. That's how I learn certain things like when I replaced my rear window myself. I knew it was done right and I took care of my truck vs some guy slamming around the interior.

I guarantee their "carbon cleaning" consists of simply dumping a bottle of seafoam in.

Dealership gets $500 to replace 6 iridium spark plugs in a 2009 Santa Fe. Removing the intake manifold on one is a nightmare to get at the back 3 plugs..

And on the 5.0 trucks Ive changed my plugs out twice, once was to just recap them the other was a new set. Just be careful not to break the red locking tabs, I did one but I just put a small wire tie on it and one of my COP rolled off hood area and broke off a piece of the round plastic edge. A little super glue and good as new. It was a very small piece and I could of had just left it like that but it is more cosmetic and I didn't want to buy a new one for looks.
