I'd like to be able to activate my trucks wings and fly away! What type of sentimental value? I'm not the sentimental type I guess. Maybe keep it and buy an older 4x4 with a v8, can probably find a higher mileage 2011 5.0 pretty cheap.

If you change it it want be the same truck anyway . It is good that it is about paid off it will be easier too trade .

Trade it man... It's different if you had a 5.0 and just wanted to put another 5.0 motor in it. You would already have the harness and electrical's. Even doing that will usually run you 3-5k? Depending on the miles of the 5.0 engine you got or if you just had the engine rebuilt... I'm assuming if you had to have a shop do eletricals on top of that you'd be looking at 10k+

I was in a similar boat as you... Just Take the couple grand hit and save yourself some time/trouble by just trading your current truck in for a 5.0. In my opinion the 5.0 is worth it.

Yup, be wise and listen to everyone and trade. You will be way better off trading. Also, if you do trade you can possibly get a better trim truck than what you have. I can't tell you how much i love my AC seats, power fold mirrors and blue tooth.

I will add to this as well.... I went from a normal 09 XLT with no options really. Too a 2011 FX4 5.0. With Sync/bluetooth, Parking assist, heated seats, Touchscreen, etc... Only set me back a couple grand. But well worth it.
