Default 275/65/20 or 285/55/20 pics

I bounce around on these tires questions everyday. I am buying some new tires in the next few weeks and I just cant nail down what I want. Some days I just want to got get the MIchelin AT2s in a P275/60/20 and forget it.

But TODAY. .. I am leaning toward the BFG AT or the Toyo AT2 Extreme. Since the Toyo Extreme is not offered in the 275 size it makes it a little more simple.

I cant decide what would look / perform the best... the 275/65/ 20 or the 285/55/20. I realize the 275/65 is a taller tire and the 285 is wider.... I just dont know what that translates to in look / performance between the two.

I bought a AS 1.5 level kit a while back very cheap I thought about installing or selling if I change my mind. I have tried to dig up photos of F150s with Platinum wheels and 1.5 level kits and these size tires without much luck. I found photos of just the tire and no shot of the entire truck or it is a poor photos in the shadows and you really cant tell much about it.

Anyone have pics like this?

Here is a 275/65-20 LTX-AT2 Michelin on my truck. This is BEFORE I added the Rancho QuickLift struts.

My opinion is the difference in section width is so small I wouldn't pay the extra price for the 285s. Either go with the 275 or go wide with a 305-55-20 for about the same price as the 285.

Those tires fill up the fender wells pretty good... makes me think my 1.5" level wouldnt look right with that size tire. Nice truck.

But that is one of the few sizes that doesn't require you to get e load on the bfgs

My 305x55's may be a little wide but they do great in the sand!

275/55/20 Michelins. They ride like a champ and are very quiet. They even handle better than the 265/60/18 that came on it. They did hurt my mpg by about 2 mpg, but what the hell. I didn't buy my truck to save the planet.
