Default Transmission durability 2011-2014

Was wondering how these transmissions have been holding up.

Haven't read a lot of issues.

Because there aren't a lot of issues. An oddity posted here and there but it's a great tranny that overall has held up very well.

Yeah you never hear guys complaining about durability. Sure you get the random post about issues but overall it looks like a great trans.

I think this tranny is way better than my 04 and 08 but I do have and issue with 3rd to 4th shift as well as some other with out years and even the 15s. It makes a grinding noise but it's one in very few. All in all I love my truck and my tranny

Both of my '13s have made a funky noise on the 3-4 shift, usually on heavy throttle application with a lot of shifting going on. I take it as normal and they both only did it a few times.

The 6R80 is 2009 until present; mine is at 340k kilometres, over 200k miles.

Forming company cabling truck; still runs fine., fluid and filter only maint work.

Several programming changes in the first years; a leaking wire loom gasket/grommet are the only issues I have heard about.

How often are the fluid and filter changes being done? Are they dealer serviced or are you doing them in house?

I thought they were lifetime or when the trans was in for major service.
