Default 2015 XLT with sport package 18" wheels

I have done a lot of searching but have come up empty handed, I was trying to find any examples of these wheels on a 09-14 truck, but that does not seem like a popular swap, or maybe just not enough of these wheels out there yet? I was debating between aftermarket 17" wheels, Method Standard, NV and XD Addict were on the short list, with a 285/70/17. I was offered brand new take-offs of this wheel with the tires in the link below for $1k. I'm not a fan of the 18" XLT chrome wheels I have now. Let me know your thoughts.

(pay no attention to the tire on the wheel, pic is just for reference of the wheel I am talking about)

My Truck, trying to tone down the chrome a bit. XTR sticker has been removed since this pic.

I just bought them for my truck. Paid $650 for the rims and tires with maybe 20 miles on them. (Got the Wrangler HTTs or something, not the cool ones)

The lug nuts for the 2015 trucks will NOT fit our studs (14x1.5 vs 14x2.0), so you will have to re-use your original lug nuts.

The tire you linked and the one you show are different.

The one in the pic is like the one on my truck - note that it only says 275/XXRXX, rather than LT275/XXRXX.

The tire in your link in my area, brand new take off w rims is $850. $1000 for these cheap tires with take off rims is a rip.

Never even seen that style , but I like the 2015 wheels better than many of the older ones

It'd look super tight on your truck tho. Check CL areas NEAR you, not just your own. I saved $200 driving a couple hours.

Yeah, sorry for the confusion, the tire on the wheel was just a pic to show the wheel I am talking about. The tire in the link is what is one the truck. $1k does seem a little steep, I'm not sure what a great deal price would be, $650 I guess, but we are talking about different tires here. The seller will deliver them to me as he will be in my area. Also, he told me the 2015 TPMS sensors do not work on the 09-14 trucks, but he will include a new OEM set of 09-14 sensors as well. Not sure if I could sell the '15 sensors to recover a little money. Also, not sure how "cool" the tires would look, but they have to be better looking than the SR-A's I have now.

the tires I'm running aren't aggressive, but they'll do just fine for what I do, realistically.

the better tires were $200 more than the ones I got. TPMS sensors will run a few bucks, and if he's giving them to you mounted and balanced, that's prob $150 total, if not more.

$850-900 would be a good deal on them. I wouldn't feel bad paying $1000 for rims and tires you could just put on the truck and be done with. the tires alone are worth it, new.

the TPMS sensors won't be worth much, if anything. Maybe 40 bucks. Most guys would just get them at the tire shop, can't really imagine anyone looking for sensors.

Good to know. The '14 sensors would not be on the wheels, I would have to swap them, but I think I could do that myself, just defeat the tire and pop the bead out at the valve stem for the swap. Hopefully it's no more complicated than that. I'll see if I can get him down a little bit in price. I would feel better in the $8-900 range. Did you have an option for the AT tires when you purchased yours?

I did, sorta. I had to scour CL from Sacramento to LA until I found the right deal.

I didn't have an option from this particular buyer. He listed at $720, I got the set for $650, but had to drive roughly 2 and a half hours. Next closest set of '15 rims/tires were the ATs in LA for $850 firm, also a 2 and a half hour drive. I opted for the ones I got because I don't really offroad outside of fire roads, so the added weight etc of an LT and that tread were wasted. Never had an issue hauling or pulling with my Ps beforehand (trailer max was prob 5-6K).

If you get him in the 800-900 range, with him delivering, (which means you can beat him up on price a little bit, as he had to drive) I'd say you did really well. The guy wanting $850 "near" me would've had me drive 3 hours to pick them up.

The TPMS screw into the bottom of the valvestem with, I think, a T10 holding them in. It's not difficult.
